2nd Line IT Support Engineer.

Salary: Dependent on skills and experience. 

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our hard working and friendly team at our Head Office in Highams Park, East London.

To apply for this position, you need to be a Microsoft Certified Professional that has previously worked in a 2nd Line technical role for a Managed Services Provider. You will be comfortable providing escalation and troubleshooting support in a Customer Facing role and as part of our service desk team.

 Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd Line escalation & troubleshooting telephone and remote help desk support.
  • Provide onsite Technical Assistance and Development Consultancy to our clients that are located across London and the surrounding Counties.
  • Support our clients in the use of computer equipment by providing the necessary guidance and advice, in addition to providing technical documentation when needed.
  • Provide day-to-day support for 3rd Party Applications and Cloud-based services (such as Microsoft Office/365, Sage, Adobe etc.) and bespoke 1st party in-house applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues on PCs, Apple Macs and Peripherals.

You must have:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems from Windows 7 onwards.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy and Virtualisation administration.
  • Working knowledge of networking, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, in addition to Firewalls, Access Points and Switches used in a business environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Business/Exchange Online administration.
  • Working knowledge of Apple OSX, iOS, Apple desktop and mobile Technologies.
  • Working knowledge of the latest Data backup and restore solutions, systems and methods.
  • Experience supporting VoIP telephony systems in a Business environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current Microsoft technical certification.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence.
