Graduate IT Field Support Engineer.
- Position: Permanent, full-time.
- Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Overview.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Graduate to join our hard working and friendly team based at our Head Office in Highams Park, East London, developing your skills and knowledge as a Field Support Engineer.
In this role, you will provide desk-side support technical assistance to our diverse range of new and long-standing clients that are located through London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
When you are not working onsite, you will be part of our helpdesk team, providing telephone and remote technical support. When working on our helpdesk, this will be a hybrid role that is split between the office and working from home.
This role is suitable for someone with an A-level Information Technology qualification with the motivation to establish a career in IT with the support of our established & experienced team of engineers, and also by learning on the job.
Key responsibilities.
- Visiting clients for planned visits, providing deskside support for Windows 10/11 and Apple computers and mobile devices, including hardware and software installation, configuration, changes, troubleshooting and fixing.
- Working with a diverse range of clients across London and the surrounding counties, including small businesses, charities and medium to large organisations.
- Demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills, thinking outside the box and researching into issues that cannot be resolved immediately, working closely with our helpdesk team and 3rd line support engineers to resolve issues when required.
- Working as part of the help desk team in a customer service environment, demonstrating telephone and remote troubleshooting and fixing skills.
- Supporting the projects team, assisting with onsite implementation of a diverse range of technologies.
Experience, capabilities and attributes.
- You will require an understanding of troubleshooting and configuring Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Exchange Online and Active Directory.
- You will require an understanding of computer networking.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills with a critical eye and demonstratable attention to detail when completing and updating tickets and documentation.
- A customer first attitude and a people person that is confident when client facing and capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working to deadlines and remaining calm and professional under pressure in a client facing environment
- Very organised with regards to preparation, time management and general administration
- You will require a valid full UK driving license.
- You will need to be able to commute to our clients throughout London via public transport and drive to clients located throughout Herts and Essex.
